observe that the object was placed in the mark 31mm and moved until the mark 34mm (34mm - 31mm = 3mm)

My interpretation was that it get more or less in the middle way between the marks, this way, my interpretation that it has half millimeter more than 12mm (33mm - 45.5mm = 12.5mm). The value 0.5mm is doubtful, because each person could interpretate one different value (0.4mm 0.6mm?).

My interpretation was that it get more or less in the middle way between the marks, this way, my interpretation that it has half millimeter more than 45mm (50mm - 4.5mm = 45.5mm). The value 0.5mm is doubtful, because each person could interpretate one different value (0.4mm 0.6mm?).
