The Waiter and the Art of Good Service - Mise-en-place

This simulator allows the learner to acquire the knowledge related to the layout of the table and practice the correct positioning of the utensils.

In its original version, it is composed of a module that allows the student to practice the correct positioning of the utensils for as many times as he deems necessary. This module offers the option of a template so the learner can self-evaluate their performance which also serves as a reference for the learner to adjust the position of the utensils, perfecting the symmetry and their aesthetics notion.

When he/she feels confident, the learner can trigger the second module, the evaluation one, which will record in a file its performance. The evaluation module is justified by the possibility of some supervisor monitoring the learner’s progress in addition to his determination.

This simulator was developed to work from a CD-Rom, to adapt it to the characteristics of the Internet, there was a severe loss of graphic quality, size and resources.

This screen is the ‘practice module’ with the visible ‘self-assessment’ template
